Another remarkable discovery came in 1950 when a vacationing New York Department of Health Researcher dug a soil sample from a Virginia farm and brought it back to her laboratory. When she analyzed it she found a mold which was capable of "knocking out" all other molds. This anti-fungal drug became know as "NYSTATIN" in honor of the New York State Department of Health.
With all this, there still exists in the world today feelings among some people that natural drugs from herbs, bark, and roots are all part of some medeval uncivilized culture. In reality, however, natural drugs were and still are the building blocks of our modern day drug therapy. Over the years most of the natural drug substances used for hundreds of years have been identified and synthesized by scientists. It is estimated that over 80% of our drugs today come from old natural drug therapies.
So it is, therefore, not absurd for us to believe that
we can control excessive hair loss with natural substances.
Nor is it absurd to believe that with diligent treatment
we can aid hair regrowth from hair follicles that
are still capable of producing hair.
